PhD student and Performance Nutritionist Ollie Turner gives Sheffeed insight into seven highly nutritious meals to fuel an active lifestyle.

Ollie recognises the importance for young adults to fuel their body with nutritional foods.
He said: "It's important for every young adult, especially when adopting an active lifestyle, to have a nutritious diet. Balancing studies at school, college or university, taking part in sporting activities and socialising with friends can be taxing. You need to be eating a nutritious diet to do all of those things successfully."
But to have a nutritious diet, you need to know how to cook nutritious meals.
So, we're going to show you seven of Ollie's highly nutritious meals so that you have a meal idea for every night of the week.
And don't worry, you don't have to be Gordon Ramsey to conjure these up. There are dishes for people of all cooking levels.
1. Simple Shaksuka
The clues in the name. It may look complex, but this dish is simple to cook. It will take you 5 minutes to prep and 15 minutes in the oven. High in Vitamin A, B2 and Iron, this meal that serves one is highly nutritious and only 552 Kcals.

2. Pork Barbecue Beans and Sweet Potato Fries
Another 'easy' dish to cook, this will take you 5 minutes to prep and 25 minutes to cook. Dense in Vitamin A, C and B6, this meal that serves two will give your immune system the boost it deserves.

3. Chicken Teriyaki with Sugar Snap Peas
High in Vitamin B3, this meal that serves two will give you lots of energy to be used as fuel.

4. Chipotle Chicken, Sweet Potato and Guacamole
A moderately difficult dish to make, yet high in Vitamin B6 to help the body promote the formation of red blood cells.

5. Teriyaki Salmon, Crispy Kale and Tenderstem Broccoli
A personal favourite, this one's for the fish lovers. Although moderately difficult to make, this meal is full of greenery that will reduce muscle soreness and increase your immune function.

6. Chicken Cacciatore with Sweet Potato
It serves two and tastes hella' good. It's also high in the antioxidant Vitamin C which will reduce stress on your muscles. This one's for after a gym session or a night on the dance floor.

7. Smoky Beef Chilli with Popped Beans
Feeling like Jamie Oliver? There's no denying this meal is difficult to make. But it's so high in Vitamins B3 and B12 it's worth it.
