A late night shuttle bus has been proposed by SHU Student Union's Welfare officer Lauren Kaye.

The bus scheme is part of Laurens plan whilst in term as Welfare and community officer. The bus will stop at some of the most popular student nights including Sunken Mondays at Tank and Hallamnation at Crystal taking students back to their student accommodations.

Lauren said, "The idea came when I started the role, so July time. We've come into a few difficulties with funding because it costs a lot to put on a bus service. So we're are looking at sponsors.

"I really wanted to get it started, with the increase in crime in Sheffield we don't want anyone getting harasses or drink driving."

The bus will be partly funded by The University as well as students using the service.
