There are natural ingredients readily available in your kitchen which could make yourself feel relaxed, as a soothing bath improves your health in the process. Make your long lasting soak in the bath feel amazing by adding one of these ten items.
1. Ginger Root
Just add few freshly chopped gingers into your bath.
The benefits to gain: It relieves colds and congestion, also soothing your muscles in the process.

But, ginger baths will make you sweat, so keeping yourself hydrated is a must during your soak.

Just add dried lavenders wrapped in muslin clothes into your bath.
Another option is to add few drops of lavender essential oil which does a pretty good job too.
The benefits to gain: Reduces muscle soreness in your body, any inflammations and reduces stress. (uni students, this is a must!)

Grow your own: Treat yourself to a lavender plant, set it by the window and do not over-water.
3. Epsom Salt
Just add half a cup to one cup of Epsom salt in your running water and let it dissolve.
Benefits to gain: Similar to the Lavender, this salt soothes aches in your body, reduces any inflammation and soothes any pains and sore muscle.

Did you know: Splinters can be removed with Epsom salt?
Yes, it calms the skin and softens it which creates an easy access for splinters to be removed.
An amazing Hack! (Painless too)
4. Green Tea
Run to your kitchen, don’t make a mug of tea but grab 5-10 green teabags and throw it into your bath.
Benefits to gain: It nourishes your skin, cleanses, detoxes and calms it with anti-ageing properties.

Make sure it is not super-hot water as it may take away the moisture from your skin; when the water turns brown from the teabags, you’re ready to jump in.
5. Oatmeal
Just add an oatmeal-filled muslin cloth parcel under running water and let it sit for 5-10 minutes.
Benefits to gain: For the dry skin people, it’ll sooth it and soften all over for itchy skin too!

Breakfast Bath: REMEMBER do not put oats in hot water directly, you don’t want to be stepping in porridge! Eurgh.
